There is something so special about slowing down before life changes forever.

This sweet couple met me at one of my favorite parks in Georgetown for a relaxed maternity session surrounded by warm summer light, towering trees, and wide open fields. We spent the evening chasing the sun, laughing together, and documenting the quiet anticipation of meeting their baby.

These are the kinds of sessions I love most.

Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt overly posed. They brought a cozy blanket, their ultrasound photos, and simply enjoyed being together. Some of my favorite images came from the moments they weren’t thinking about the camera at all. Running through the grass, laughing together, and soaking in these last few weeks before becoming parents.

Later in the session, she changed into a simple ivory gown that completely changed the mood. The soft fabric caught the evening light beautifully, and the tree-lined path gave everything an almost dreamlike feeling. It was simple, timeless, and exactly what maternity photography should be.
